Stager’s Fresh Cut Garden Roses is a family farm business. Stephen Stager has been growing roses for 22 years and now grows the roses used to make the bouquets — which are offered for sale exclusively at the Midtown Farmer’s Market— primarily at the family’s farm where his children represent a sixth generation to raise a crop and take it to market. The business was initially started in response to challenges arising from the 2008 financial crisis. The hope at the time was to meet those challenges by growing things of value for others, and by offering our roses for sale, to recruit the help of our neighbors.
